Newton Abbot
We meet in the function room upstairs at the Jolly Farmer Pub in Market Street, also known as “The Bradley Suite”, as the Jolly Farmer used to be known as the Bradley Hotel.
Dancing is from 8 till 10 pm each week to recorded music. We don’t have a summer break, and only miss one or two weeks at Christmas. It costs just £3 for a session, and the first one is free.
After two hours of dancing many of us go downstairs for a drink in the bar and a chat, it’s good to re-hydrate and socialise after an evening of dancing.
We have been using the Jolly Farmer as our venue since around 2007. Before that we met at the Rydon Hall in Kingsteignton for about 5 years.

We meet in Whimple, just East of Exeter, on the third Sunday of each month to dance Irish Sets. This is a very nice village hall, with a good floor for dancing and a kitchen for making cups of tea!
We dance from 2 till 5 pm each month, to recorded music, with a tea break in the middle of the afternoon. After three hours of dancing many of us go to a local pub for a drink and a chat. We don’t have a summer break, we can’t bear to miss a single session! It costs just £5 for a session, and the first one is free.
The Whimple Victory Hall is a new venue for us. Our first session there was in January 2022. Before that we met at the the Colyford Memorial Hall for several years, but have recently decided that Whimple would be more convenient for most of the people attending.
