The Perfect Cure are coming back to Devon in September 2019 for their third tour of Irish Set Dancing ceilis and music. They play great music for listening and dancing, find out more about them on their website.
As last year, we are holding two Irish Set Dancing ceilis and a pub session. The first ceili of the tour will be at Bickington Village Hall on Saturday 14th September, followed by an afternoon ceili at Colyford Memorial Hall on Sunday 15th September 2019. The first event of the tour is a music session in the Tap House Pub in Newton Abbot, on the afternoon of Saturday 14th September.
The Tap House (TQ12 4AA) is a great place for an acoustic music session. It is a relaxed place, and has a large range of beers, wines and gin! Come along and listen, join in playing, maybe have a dance, and enjoy yourself. We will start at around 2 pm, and there will be no entrance fee.
Last year we all loved Bickington Village Hall (TQ12 6JX). It’s only small, but it has a great atmosphere and a good floor for dancing. The numbers are limited to 36 tickets, so be sure to book in advance. Let Maggie know if you want to come. The start time is 7:30 pm and tickets are £8 each, which includes tea and cake in the interval.
The Sunday ceili is at our normal time of 2 till 5 pm at Colyford (EX24 6QJ). We all know this hall well, and are looking forward to welcoming the Perfect Cure back to play there again. Ticket price for this is also £8, but no need to book in advance, as there is plenty of space.
